The load-bearing structure of the footbridge is designed as a slender prestressed segmental deck supported by an external cable. Segments above individual supports are designed as steel structures. These segments also serve as anchorage points for the external support cables with a diameter of 130 mm.
The effects of the external cables are transferred into the concrete segments through steel frames. The structure is supported on spherical bearings at the abutments. The steel segment above pier P2 is fixed into the substructure.
Forces from the superstructure are transferred by means of a shear key and stainless steel rods.
