Steel Structure Fabrication and Installation

The load-bearing structure is designed as a continuous steel box girder suspended from a single pylon by two planes of inclined stay cables consisting of 12-strand cables. The continuous girder has two spans measuring 17 m and 93 m. The longer span is supported by five stay cables spaced at 15 m intervals from the axis of the girder support at the pylon. On the opposite side, the cables are anchored into anchorage blocks located in parallel wing walls outside the main bridge structure. On the counterbalance side with a span of 17 m, the load-bearing structure is integrated with abutment P1. The steel structure was erected using the incremental launching method.
