Ostrov Bridge, Trenčín

The purpose of the reconstruction was to widen the roadway and add steel pedestrian and cycling walkways. The steel structures also serve as support for utility services.
The works included strengthening the reinforced concrete beam bridge using external post-tensioning cables and additional shear reinforcement. The project also involved correction of long-term deflections, replacement of bearings, renewal of the waterproofing and road surface, and installation of drainage via composite continuous curb drains.
