Extension of an apple sorting facility

The project included the fabrication and installation of a steel structure for an extension of an apple sorting facility in Dunajská Lužná. The single-storey extension is structurally and fire-separated from the existing hall and serves primarily for apple storage. The building features a steel frame with insulated sandwich PUR panels forming both the façade (100 mm) and the roof (120 mm). The roof structure consists of timber purlins and glued laminated beams. A walkable gallery and viewing platform at +3.000 m allow visitors to observe the automated apple sorting process, supporting the investor’s goal of making production more accessible and engaging to the public.
