Fabrication of the steel structure for a railway bridge crossing the Čierňanka River
The project involved the fabrication of the steel structure for a railway bridge designed to carry a railway line over the Čierňanka River.
Our company participated in the implementation of this project by manufacturing the steel structures of the bridge spans. A separate load-bearing structure was designed for each track, which required increasing the track center distance to 8 m compared to the original configuration. The reconstruction was carried out through the complete replacement of the existing bridges with new load-bearing structures. The original riveted truss bridges with an open-deck system were replaced by modern fully welded steel bridges featuring a lower orthotropic deck and a trough for continuous ballast track.
The new bridge structures have a span of 36 m and represent a modern solution that enhances the reliability and technical standard of the crossing.
